Traditionally, in any metal part fabrication cycle, each process is performed independently requiring specific tooling (such as presses and slides) and operators for each of them. When assembling is required, complex processes such as welding, joining, bending and insertion are needed to build the product from the parts that have processed in previous stages of the fabrication cycle, which increases the negative aspects mentioned before.

Schmale assembly machines take the last stages of the fabrication cycle to another level as they are ready to automatically feed in bunches previously processed parts into the assembly stage. Then they are separated and prepared to make sure each part is assembled to the corresponding product. Afterwards, they are mounted and formed according to specific requirements by using processes such as riveting and punching, for example.
After the assembly is ready, but before the part is ready for market, the part is taken into a measurement and an evaluation step to make sure it meets all the specifications and standards required by means of optical instruments. If the part passes the evaluation step, it is taken to the final stage where it is packed, and it gets ready for market.
